The Legend Revives

Immerse yourself in history as you tour the meticulously recreated rooms of the Titanic. Experience life aboard the Titanic and discover the contrasts between different social classes. Every detail has been carefully designed to offer an authentic experience.

Until the Orchestra Fell Silent

Experience the final moments of the orchestra, feeling each note resonate through the room as you are enveloped in the atmosphere of the Titanic. This culminating moment will make you feel part of history, living the emotions of those last moments through an immersive sound recreation.

Beneath the Waves, Stories Unfold

Follow an emotional narrative through 1200 m2 of 360º projections, experiencing the Titanic’s journey from within, exploring every corner of the ship and experience how they lived through the sinking.

Exhibition Professionals

Screenwriter

Nacho Ares (León, 1970)

He holds a degree in Ancient History from the University of Valladolid and a Certificate in Egyptology from the University of Manchester. He has dedicated his whole life to the dissemination of history through television and radio programmes, historical novels and essays.

He has been director of Revista de Arqueología, has published more than 300 articles in magazines and was a reporter on the television programme Cuarto Milenio.

Director and presenter of the programme SER Historia (SER channel), he is curator of our international exhibition “Tutankhamun” and screenwriter for “The Last Days of Pompeii”.

Curator

Fernando José García Echegoyen (Zaragoza, 1962)

He is a master mariner and a master marine surveyor graduated at  the University of Cádiz, having dedicated his entire life to this activity, investigating thousands of historical and contemporary maritime disasters. He has published several books on the subject with special emphasis on the shipwrecks of the Titanic and other historic ocean liners.

He collaborates with the TV Show Cuarto Milenio in which he has a fixed section on naval history, maritime news and mysteries of the sea called Cuaderno de Logácora. His work as a maritime popularizer in naval books and media is complemented on his website De los Oceanos, Libros y la Cultura naval (echegoyen.es) as well as on social networks.

He has been professionally researching the history of the Titanic for more than forty-five years and is the curator of our international exhibition The Legend of the Titanic, The Immersive Exhibition.

Composer

Rene Merkelbach (Tilburg, 1966)

René Merkelbach is a composer and owner of his own studio “Audiocult”. With formal training in piano and extensive live and studio experience, he has contributed to 33 albums, including Within Temptation’s “Mother Earth.”

He began composing music for radio and TV commercials, including projects for brands like Opel, Haribo or Nike and expanded into the realms of theme parks, TV series, games, and animation series. Since 1999, he has composed music for the De Efteling theme park and collaborated with orchestras in Prague, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

He worked with MAD on the development of the soundtracks for Tutankhamun and The Last Days of Pompeii, and returns again to The Legend of the Titanic with a new masterful composition.
