Relive Odysseus’s return through his own eyes

There are stories you read, others you watch, and just one that you experience. *The Odyssey: The Immersive Journey* is experienced from within, with Homer’s voice as your guide. Five immersive experiences take you to the heart of the Greece of heroes: theatrical re-enactments, an interactive metaverse, multisensory virtual reality, 360° surround projections and a holographic installation.

And at the heart of the journey, the immersive film: eight independent stories, eight great trials of the hero, each a short film with its own atmosphere and soundtrack. Monsters, gods and temptations unfolding all around you. The greatest adventure of Antiquity, experienced from within for the very first time. This autumn, exclusively at Matadero Madrid.

Who is Odysseus?

The most cunning hero in Greek mythology. The man who won a war through his ingenuity and took ten years to return home.

Odysseus, known as Ulysses in the Latin tradition, does not triumph through strength, but through intelligence. It was his idea to use the Trojan Horse, which brought an end to ten years of war. But his greatest feat was not winning the battle, but surviving the journey home: a ten-year odyssey fraught with monsters, temptations and warring gods, with a single goal in mind: to be reunited with his wife, Penelope, and his son, Telemachus, on his island of Ithaca. His story is that of a man who never stops trying to return home, and that is why it continues to move us almost three thousand years later.
